I am Posting a picture on this blog after a long long time. This one is simar's click from somewhere near the meteor crater in USA. A nice macro of a cactus. Thorns build up a nice illusionary pattern. I hope Simar gets more time to use his time capture machine.
Since this entire blog is about metaphors, I compare these thorns with "the much needed anger". A lot of people say we do not need to be angry. Anger diminishes common sense and overshadows intelligence. However destructive anger is, I believe sometimes it is something we all need because we were ALL born with it (anger is not a vestigial feeling).
The world needs anger. The world often continues to allow evil because it isn't angry enough.

Its almost an year since I took this photograph. It was this time last year that I started using my camera. This is one of the first few photographs that I clicked. This is a beetle seen at this time around in the verdant meadows of Punjab. A beautiful place to capture insects ranging from beetles to fireflies.

Many spiritual teachers have suggested that our egos don’t disappear so much as they become large enough to hold more than just our small sense of self—the boundary of self widens to contain people and beings other than just "me."
(BTW This is an onion inflorescence!!!)

"At bottom every man knows well enough that he is a unique being, only once on this earth; and by no extraordinary chance will such a marvellously picturesque piece of diversity in unity as he is, ever be put together a second time."

"You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection." ~~Buddha

Advice to children crossing the street: damn the lights. Watch the cars. The lights ain't never killed nobody. ~Moms Mabley
There are endless ways of looking a things differently. Both problems and solutions are viewed disparately by different people. Its just a matter of PERSPECTIVE. I and Simar(My Twin Borther ~ A.K.A The Clone) learned this new way of looking at pictures with a different perspective.

The resplendent color of the flower caught my eye. This is first time I realized that it has been ages since in last saw a natural color. I cant ever remember the last time I saw such a bright colored flower. Looks like a star with dark purple center and light purple wings.
